sinking excitement

i guess i am pretty excited about going back to work. and to stop behaving like a malfunctioned adult. 3 november, and i do wonder how long will i be able to maintain my sanity.

this meant to come in earlier but my hours were jam-packed with errands, lessons, fretting, studying and of course abhorrent end-module exams. nope i didn't do well. not at all. not even if i had only managed to wink through a 4-hour-or-less sleep on those days...

closer friends may have already known - xan's car got broken into a fortnight ago outside DblO. it was considerably, well, comforting to know that it was a professional car thief that he managed to get in without exactly breaking in - yes we're talking about master key here. another car down the street suffered the same fate.

it took us some time to realize that there's been a car theft. i was searching all over xan's car to look for my bag which i clearly remembered having shoved it underneath the front seat. initially i thought xan had placed it somewhere else, but took a turn from frustration to baffled when he looked even more aghast, and went on to checking his IU - contents gone.

we didn't lose much items with extensive monetary value. my entire bag and xan's cash card were taken, but credit and identity cards were with us thankfully - we were going into DblO. but i did sustain a tsunamic trauma. my treasured DSlite, in which i spent days going through my daily exercises of cookingmama, brain age and stuff, was in the bag. moreover, it was a present from xan, something he wanted me to have, to keep me accompanied while he goes for NS.

the police were informed at 0110hours and were there to lift fingerprints, take statement and stuff like that till 0430hours.

i only hit me after my shower. i was doing up a list of things that i had lost. up to the point of penning down 'ezlink', and thinking that i could go home and retrieve another one - how do i go home? i lost my mofoing keys! and good lord, my family is in Malaysia! i'm not so much worried about them breaking into my house and taking our valuables away but hell, my puppies?!

i don't know if you're much of a animal-person but i would love to steal these girls and resell them for cash, even if i can't keep them! everyone was telling me doubt they'll be going to my place, they'd be running away from me for christ's sake, why would they create an opportunity to be nabbed? true, if they weren't professionals, as discussed in paragraph 3.

get into this viewpoint:- i am a professional. i do this shit for a living. i see a couple leaving their car after the stupid woman shoved her bag under the seat, who knows what crazy stuff might be in there? since i have a master key, let's go, why not? i see them walk into the club, i pounce into action. i got into the car easily, went for the cash card, saved the hassle of filtering through her items and took the entire bag anyway. now i'm done, i flag down a cab "uncle, ulu pandan reservoir" just to make sure it's 'ulu' (secluded/remoted) enough. i start going through the bag. great, DSLite, in gayass pink, just right for my girlfriend, but shall keep till it's Christmas. then there's a wallet of course, lots of cards which can't be put into use - marketinginstituteofsingapore, newurbanmale, euyansang, safra, NTUC etc cards, ATM cards. ah, polaroid picture of that stupid couple, haha. boo! and yes, there's a bunch of keys but what the... ohh she goes around with an organizer, in which she ludicrously included her contact number and... address! here goes, since they've just entered the club, i doubt they'll be out anytime soon. "uncle, paiseh, please go to.. uh.." making further effort and squinting at the small writings, "...blk 559 ang mo kio avenue 10!" - triumphant. i shall just go up to her door, and knock. it's still early, 2230hours, i can always act like i got the wrong door in case anyone answers. in sets of 3, intervals of 7 seconds, it's the 18th knock now. there is no single light emitted through the windows anyway. luck is with me...

and i (me, as in natalie, not thief) returned home early next morning with the help of my sister on rescue duty. and goodness, am i relieved to see 2 monsters jumping at my feet.
